Friday, 01 January 2010Because of a high demand, we have worked last months on a partnership program to help professional webdevelopers promote themselves as capable of building good Magento, Joomla! and most of all MageBridge websites.
Complicated solutions require knowledge
MageBridge is a swiss-army knife. It can do a lot of thinks, but you have to make a study out of it to make use of it. Also, because MageBridge still requires you to theme things within Magento, and understand all the abilities of Joomla, MageBridge is not at all your average click-click Joomla component. Knowledge of HTML, CSS and all of the used technologies is certainly required.
Instead we try to market MageBridge as a set of solutions for the professional webdeveloper who wants to build a solid webshop based on the most up-to-date technologies. Such a webdeveloper will not build only 1 single site, but will build many and there for needs to optimize this process as best as he cans. A webdeveloper needs to save time and thus save money. MageBridge could be that golden solution - both for the webdeveloper as for the customer.
The benefit of Magento, the benefit of MageBridge
If the customer wants to have a successful e-commerce site, choosing the right tools is of uttermost importance. Looking at the benefits that Magento gives to the customer (not the developer), we feel that Magento outruns all other open source shopping carts.
Adding MageBridge to this, will just make sure that the customer can still manage parts of the site (especially the marketing parts which really need to be done by the customer himself), while leaving the development to professionals.
MageBridge and the partnership program
This is were our Yireo Partnership program comes into the picture. It is often cheaper to ask professionals to do the job, instead of doing it yourself. This is the sole reason why these professionals can make a living. With our Yireo Partners program, we can point out which companies dedicate themselves to building MageBridge-based webshops.
Choosing the right man for the right job, will (in the end) save you time and money, and will also determine if your webshop is going to be a success or not. Let's face it: E-commerce is not about flower-power open source, it's about making money and the only way you can do that, is through a well-done webshop.
First partners are lining up
As of yet, we are publicly promoting our partnership. But because this partnership didn't start with us, but with actual webdevelopers asking for this, we are already in discussions with various developers to become partners. We don't immediately say yes to these requests: We want to make sure that the parties that become partner are actually strengthening the market, which in the end will benefit the customer.
