Dutch MeetMagento 2010
Thursday, 28 January 2010Last year, the Dutch MeetMagento day was one of the first Magento events in Europe, and it was a great success. This success is going to repeat itself with the second Meet Magento 2010 which is taking place on the 27th of May 2010 in The Netherlands.
Bigger and better
The demand for such an event was not foreseen last year. The amount of 100 tickets were sold out quickly, so that's why this year (2010) the event is going to be bigger and better. There will be a separation of presentations by running various parallel sessions: This will make sure that there are presentations on both a technical level, as well as sales-oriented. Also, there will be enough practical talk to fill the gap between sales and geek.
MeetMagento has been appointed the official Dutch community and besides funding through sponsorship, most of the work is done by volunteers within The Netherlands. If you want to help, checkout the MeetMagento site to contact the organization.
Keynote speakers
Things are yet a little bit uncertain, but MeetMagento will most likely be attended by both Roy Rubin (CEO of Varien) as Yoav Kutner (CTO of Varien). So MeetMagento will be an excellent chance to meet the guys behind Magento. Also, various Magento partners based in the Netherlands will attend. Because this event takes place just around our corner, of course we (Yireo aka Jira ICT) will attend the day as well.
