New MageBridge patches for Reaction and Quasar
Thursday, 25 March 2010We are happy to announce the release of new MageBridge patches for the RocketTheme templates Reaction and Quasar. With these patches you can setup a MageBridge shop quickly while reusing the powerful features of RocketTheme webdesign.
More RocketTheme template patches
Setting up Magento and MageBridge is a bit complicated for the unexperienced, but with MageBridge we certainly aim to make things a bit easier. Instead of putting a lot of hard work into Magento theming, we decided to reuse the massive amount of work already put into Joomla! templates. With our CSS-patches for the RocketTheme templates, the MageBridge webshop is integrated smoothly with RocketTheme templates.
A free patch for the RocketTheme template Quasar, but also a patch for the December 2009 template Reaction, are now available in our Yireo Shop. It has been already some time ago since these templates were delivered by RocketTheme - there are various reasons why we are running behind with the RocketTheme release schedule:
First of all, we were caught up with other MageBridge development (mostly integrations with third party extensions like Dynamic404, JCE and Xmap) but also the new RocketTheme Gantry framework was giving us some hard times. The hard work is done, so now it's time to share the result with everybody.
What's next?
Upcoming week we will focus on some older patches like Moxy, After that we will concentrate on patching the newest RocketTheme templates Dominion, Kinetic and Crystalline - all based on the same Gantry framework. We'll hope things go smooth after this.
When we're done with RocketTheme, the next focus will be on YOOtheme: Their templates are also widely popular and we not only aim to make sure their visual layout works nicely together with MageBridge, but we will also see if we can get some slick solutions for the fearsome JavaScript-conflict between MooTools and ProtoType.
