Happy with Bargento 4

On Friday 28th of May, Bargento 4 took place in Paris. This international Magento event had over 600 visitors and was also attended by a huge delegation of Magento itself. The day was filled with exciting talks and of course a perfect place to talk about partnerships and business opportunities.

Bargento 4 settled down in CAP15, a conference building near to the Eiffel tower. While in the morning things were a little chaotic, as some things needed to be organized last minute, the first talk of Roy Ruben (CEO of Magento) was good enough to get everybody's attention: During the presentation he showed some cool new videos, that presented Magento as a new physical element - bringing e-commerce to a higher level.

Launch of Magento Mobile

Also Roy introduced during his talk an exciting new product - Magento Mobile - which brings e-commerce in a professional way to the mobile platform. The interface on an iPhone looked slick and professional, and is definitely going to change the way we use e-commerce in our daily lives.

Presentation on MageBridge

Yireo co-founder Jisse Reitsma also had the opportunity to talk about our own MageBridge - the integration between Joomla! and Magento. The presentation first covered some of the basic aspects of MageBridge, together with the commercial benefits of using Joomla! as frontend development, while still keeping all the professional features of Magento intact.

There was also time for a quick demonstration. During the talk no new features were introduced, because our aim is at the moment to focus more on usability and documentation, than to add new features that just a few people will use.

Yireo is also going to attend the upcoming JAndBeyond event in Wiesbaden (Germany) were a talk about MageBridge will be a lot more technical and focussed on development. Also we will be present at the MeetMagento day in Leipzig (Germany) with a nice introductory talk about MageBridge.
