MageBridge version 1.1 is released
Thursday, 20 August 2009MageBridge version 1.1 has been released. With this release, all bugs found in version 1.0 are patched, but also new functionality has been added. The new release primarily brings support for multi-lingual components like Joom!Fish and Nooku, which makes the multi-lingual integration between Joomla! and Magento complete.
More features
Besides the multi-lingual support, there are various other changes as well:
- The API has been improved to run faster and support more hosting environments
- The Joomla! backend allows more control over which JavaScript scripts and CSS stylesheets to load and which not
- Changes from the Magento backend are now also replicated to Joomla! - this makes the bridge completely bi-directional
Release Notes
More details can be found in the Release Notes for version 1.1. The Release Notes also outline a simple upgrade-procedure for those of you who want to upgrade their current MageBridge installation. Upgrading is flawless, but we recommend reviewing all the settings in the Joomla! backend again.
Information and tutorials
The tutorial-section of MageBridge has undergone also many changes: Some tutorials have been publicly available, others are only visible to paying customers. Over the last two weeks we have added about 15 new tutorials to the site. We feel that documentation is very important as an add-on service.
