This morning Magento 1.4.0.0 Stable was released. Though we had tested MageBridge together with MagentoTM 1.4 Alpha before, there seems to be a new setting which stops MageBridgeTM from working correctly.
We are happy to annouce that we have released MageBridgeTM version 1.3. Actually, for existing customers this release is not so exiting, because all features of 1.3 were already included in the latest builds of 1.2. But we are proud to announce this to the world as well.
MageBridge version 1.2 was released in November 2009, and since then, we have not only worked on the code of MageBridge but also on a decent roadmap. Some features that ended up on the roadmap for version 1.3, were actually already shipped in intermediate builds, available to all MageBridgeTM customers.
Vm2Mage has arrived. With this extension it's possible to migrate data from VirtueMart to Magento with a few clicks. The software is now available for free, and gives you the chance to exchange your legacy webshop for the full-blown professional e-commerce tool MagentoTM.
The second MageBridgeTM - RocketTheme template add-on is based on the RocketTheme template Nexus. This RocketTheme template has its focus on style control. Small amount of parameters and great impact. Buy your copy of the MageBridge template add-on from our YireoTM Shop to make your MageBridge shop is optimized as well.
The first MageBridgeTM RocketTheme add-on we publish, is based on the RocketTheme template Afterburner. This RocketTheme template is the fastest Joomla!TM template ever and it's completely free. The MageBridge add-on is also free of charge.
While we are also working on MageBridgeTM to make it more stable and usable, last weeks we also worked hard on the new VirtueMart-to-MagentoTM migration tool: Vm2Mage. Currently it is possible to migrate products, categories and customers - we are still working on order-migration. Here are already some impressions.
Version 1.0 was just about getting MageBridge out in the public. Version 1.1 introduced multilingual support. Version 1.2 introduced product and profile connectors. What should be in MageBridgeTM 1.3? While our list of small adjustments is long, we also have the question which major improvement should be picked up first.
MageBridge version 1.2 has been released, adding a lot more features to the bridge between Joomla! and Magento. While version 1.1 added mainly Nooku and Joom!Fish integration, version 1.2 is about integrating MagentoTM with Joomla!TM components like JomSocial and Community Builder.
Last days have been busy with support for the Delete-Any-Order module. This Magento module allows the deletion of orders with any status, but by doing so it's also responsible for cleaning up various other entities in the MagentoTM database (shipping, taxes, downloadable products, addresses, etcetera).
While we are able to test various things in our development environments, "in the wild" there appeared to be various more things to think about. The newest version of Delete-Any-Order - version 0.9.2 - tries to solve most problems.
Today we released a new version of the Joomla!TM 1.5 component SimpleLists. Version 1.5.1.8 does not offer bring much news in the frontend, but the backend and underlying architecture contains major improvements. Upgrading is easy - just hit the Upgrade button.
YireoTM has released today a new Magento module called Delete-Any-Order. Magento by itself does not offer the feature to delete orders, and other third party modules only allow to delete orders which are pending. The Yireo Delete-Any-Order module deletes orders with any status, and also deletes all related information with it.
MageBridge version 1.1 has been released. With this release, all bugs found in version 1.0 are patched, but also new functionality has been added. The new release primarily brings support for multi-lingual components like Joom!Fish and Nooku, which makes the multi-lingual integration between Joomla!TM and MagentoTM complete.
After months of hard work, we are proud to present you MageBridgeTM - the extension that binds Magento and Joomla!.The suite of extensions offers a full integration of the Magento e-commerce application inside the Joomla! CMS. Not only does it handle user-integration, but it also displays MagentoTM content in Joomla!TM extensions, integrates with search and plugin-events and is based on a solid code-architecture.
