MageBridge template-patches
When integrating Magento with Joomla! - by using MageBridge as technology - the Magento theme will also be integrated into the Joomla! template. But this requires modifications in HTML and CSS to look slick. For various template-clubs like RocketTheme, YOOtheme and JoomlArt we have created specific MageBridge template-patches, that add CSS-code and HTML-code to the original template to make sure the template looks good together with the Magento Default Theme.
MageBridge connectors
MageBridge can be extended by using Joomla! plugins, but also by using so-called connectors. While with plugins, a lot of PHP-code might be required to accomplish the right tasks, the code of specific connectors is much less and allows for faster development. Product Connectors allow you to hook into Joomla! when a Magento product is sold. Store Connectors allow you to determine which Magento store should be loaded under which condition. Profile Connectors allow you to sync a Joomla! user-profile with a Magento customer-profile.
The MageBridge core already includes numerous connectors for various Joomla! extensions, but the number of connectors is ever growing - making MageBridge more feature-rich and more flexible every time.
MageBridge integration with Nooku Framework
With the Nooku Framework, Joomla! extensions can be build fast and professionally - but still e-commerce capabilities are missing in its features. By combining the Nooku Framework with the easy-to-use MageBridge API you can create your own MageBridge/Nooku extension.

CCKs like FLEXIcontent, K2 and ZOO would allow for great opportunities to build your own Magento catalog-pages within Joomla!. The missing link is to have CCK-elements that allow you to reuse specific Magento information (like product pricing, an add-to-cart button or even complete Magento blocks) within that CCK. MageBridge 1.7 will focus on this functionality.
