Hidden secrets of SimpleLists
Some not well-known facts about SimpleLists: Inline module positions, styling, RSS feeds.Styling
Most if not all layouts use the same HTML-element, which can be styled using CSS:
- h1.componentheading
- div.simplelists-category
- div.simplelists-pagecounter
- ... etcetera
Individual layouts can be styled be starting of with the HTML-element "div.simplelists-LAYOUT" (for instance: div.simplelists-basic).
Inline modules
SimpleLists supports two hidden module-positions: "simplelists_header" and "simplelists_footer". These can be entered as module-position when editing a certain module.
Before this actually does something, you will also need to change the "Show footer module" and "Show header module" parameters within the Menu-Item to switch from the default no to yes.
RSS Feeds
SimpleLists offers the possibility of RSS Feeds, but by default they are not enabled. To activate them, navigate to the Menu-Item of your list, uncollapse the Parameters Advanced and set the RSS Feeds to Show. That's it.
