TweetScheduler 0.2.6 - Facebook and LinkedIn support

Yireo Blog Post

A new version 0.2.6 has been released of our handy extension TweetScheduler. With this extension, you can use your Joomla! backend to schedule tweets to be placed at a certain time. New in 0.2.6 is mainly support for Facebook and LinkedIn.

Facebook and LinkedIn support

TweetScheduler was built to post tweets through Twitter. But like many popular twitter-clients, tweets can now also be published to LinkedIn and Facebook. Our tutorials guide you through the process of how to setup apps for usage with TweetScheduler - allowing you to start posting within minutes. Google+ support is still absent, since the Google APIs is not opened up to the public.

Some issues

We have spotted some issues already: For instance, when you schedule a new tweet to be posted to LinkedIn and you have not assigned a category for this tweet, the URL will be empty, and this will not be accepted by LinkedIn. This and possible other minor bugs will be fixed in version 0.2.7 soon. We also hope to add support for Facebook-pages soon.
