Symfony Components (like the Symfony Console) are present in a lot of modern PHP applications: Shopware, Magento, Typo3. And some applications are simply based on the Symfony Framework. And sometimes webapps are simply built directly with Symfony. In short, in the current PHP world, Symfony is everywhere. The documentation is great but only brings you so far. This training walks you the fundamentals quickly, but focuses heavily on best practices and caveats as well. An investment worthwhile!
Since PHP v2 (yikes), Jisse has been hooked to PHP. Throughout the years, he played around with various frameworks (Joomla, CakePHP, SugarCRM, Drupal, WordPress, Zend Framework / Laminas, Zend Expressive, SlimPHP) but in the recent years Magento, Shopware, Laravel and Symfony have been the main focus. The benefit here is that the team is able to connect from various places itself as well, timeframes are more flexible. Afterwards, a video recording will be shared with all attendees for reference.
